The Psychology faculty at WSU Vancouver are renowned for their teaching and research. Here are just a few of their latest accomplishments!
- Dr. J.P. Garofalo was named the 2008 Alan Webb Teacher-of-the-Year in the University category. The award was presented by IQ Credit Union and the Alan Webb Autogroup at a ceremony at The Heathman Lodge on September 20, 2008.
- Dr. Susan Ingram, WSU Vancouver Assistant Professor of Psychology, has received a $1.6 million, five year grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse at the National Institutes of Health for her research in “Dendritic DAT Activity monitored with fluorescent biosensors.”
- Dr. Armando Estrada, Associate Professor, was recently named Editor of the prestigious journal Military Psychology. His term of office began in 2008.
- Research conducted by Dr. Tahira Probst on the threat of layoffs and its effect on employee creativity was highlighted in the May 2008 issue of Washington CEO Magazine in an article entitled, “You’re fired – Not!”.
- Dr. Tahira Probst was interviewed by Minnesota Public Radio's In the Loop program on January 9th, 2009 about job insecurity and the threat of layoffs in the current economic turmoil. She was also later interviewed on NPR's Weekend Edition on February 2, 2009.
