Advising

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY VANCOUVER - The Psychology Department has updated their advising services to provide students a developmental and collaborative process with faculty.

The Psychology Department offers our majors a variety of resources to assist with access of campus services to help ensure academic success, timely completion of degrees, and career planning.

Students are encouraged to read about undergraduate advising in the Washington State Vancouver Course Catalog. Please review the WSU links on this page regarding reserving your academic advising appointment.

Students who are enrolled in their 45th semester credit or higher, receive academic advising from the academic coordinator. • Prepares a degree check sheet and advising file for each student.
  • Assists students in course selection.
  • Orients students to the electronic degree audit report.
  • Assists student when applying for graduation.
  • Assigns a faculty mentor for each student.

  • Discuss career planning.
  • Assist with graduate school preparation.
  • Facilitate problem solving, and decision making and appropriate referrals for campus and community resources.
